Acer Swift Go 14 (2023) review: The quiet 14-inch laptop with a 2.9k OLED panel and a QHD webcam
The Swift Go 14 boasts a low weight (1.3 kg), an aluminum case and an OLED screen (2,880 x 1,800 pixels, 90 Hz) with a work-friendly 16:10 aspect ratio. Furthermore, the laptop features two USB 4 ports and a QHD webcam.

Acer's Swift Go 14 is a portable 14-inch laptop with an OLED screen and aluminum case. Raptor Lake processors (U or H) give it enough power for office and internet uses, as well as for some simple games. The present test device, selling for just under US$800, is currently the cheapest of the series.

This Swift Go model is powered by a Core i5-1335U (10 cores, 12 threads) which offers good enough performance for office and internet uses, as well as for frugal games. The CPU has access to 16 GB RAM (LPDDR5, dual-channel mode, onboard) — expanding the soldered-on RAM is not possible.

Its storage capacity of 512 GB isn't terribly generous but still, this should be enough for a mobile office laptop. If you require more storage, you can also swap the SSD (PCIe 4, M.2-2280) for a model with a larger capacity. Alternatively, you can install a second SSD.

One battery charge (54.6 Wh) is enough to achieve WLAN runtimes of about 7.5 hours — a decent value. The laptop can be powered via the two installed USB-C ports (Thunderbolt 4/USB 4). The supplied 65-watt power supply is sufficient in size. The USB-C ports also open up further expansion options (docking solution, external GPU, screen).

The laptop's OLED screen (14 inches, 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, 90 Hz), which has a work-friendly aspect ratio of 16:10, features an excellent black value and can completely cover the DCI-P3 color space. Unfortunately, it has a bit of a reflective surface.

Further information and lots of benchmark results can be found in our review of the Acer Swift Go 14.
