Acer Swift Go 14 - Smooth gaming on the office laptop with and without XeSS thanks to Meteor Lake
When it hits the market in February, the new Acer Swift Go 14 will cost $999. This will get you a laptop with a high resolution, 90Hz OLED display housed in an aluminum case as well as a powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 155H accompanied by 32 GB of RAM.
Two months ago, we reviewed the Swift Go 14 (2023) and it demonstrated itself to be a solid laptop. However, with Intel's latest processor generation, the successor has received a considerable upgrade. Acer hasn't done much to change its sleek laptop's aluminum case and has only given it a larger touchpad. It goes without saying that in our current review, we take a look at the 3D performance as well as the performance when working with neural networks.

What is noticeable here is that when it comes to graphics, the new Intel Core Ultra 7 155H is much more powerful than its predecessor. This means gaming is finally possible with Intel's iGPUs - and all without having to resort to minimal settings and the lowest resolutions. The Arc graphics found in the Swift also support upscaling with the help of XeSS. According to our benchmark results, this leads to even smoother frame rates. Thanks to upscaling, Hogwarts Legacy is now properly playable. Additionally, in our Swift Go 14 review, we examine Intel's NPU performance and also take a look at how energy-efficient the new AI core is. However, we have stopped short of delivering a final verdict because, at the time of reviewing, our review device's software isn't quite oven-ready. At the beginning of 2024, there will be a corresponding update and this will allow us to complete our analysis of the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H.
