CES 2024 | Acer Swift Go 16 refreshed with Intel Meteor Lake processors and Wi-Fi 7
Acer announced a new version of the Acer Swift Go 14 earlier last year. It was one of the first laptops to show off Intel Meteor Lake processors' prowess. At CES 2024, its larger sibling, the Acer Swift Go 16 (curr. $897 on Amazon), has also received the Meteor Lake treatment. Other improvements include a 44% larger trackpad and a 1440p webcam with AI noise reduction and autofocus capabilities.
The Swift Go 16 features a 16-inch 3.2K (3,200 x 2,000) OLED display clocked at 120 Hz. It has a peak brightness of 500 nits, comes with DisplayHDR 500 certification and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Acer claims the laptop can last up to 10 hours on a single charge, but that'll likely involve dialling the refresh rate to 60 Hz. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 (plus LE).
Like its predecessor, the Acer Swift Go 16 is Intel Evo certified. In typical Acer fashion, it hasn't specified the exact SKUs powering the laptop, but one can reasonably assume them to be the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and Core Ultra 5 125H. Both configurations come with an Intel Arc iGPU, which should allow for some light gaming.
Up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM is supported, and one can configure the laptop with up to a 2 TB NVMe SSD. Further expansion is possible via a second NVMe slot. I/O options include two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, a HDMI 2.1 port, a micro SD card reader and two USB-A ports. Acer will reveal the Swift Go 16's price and availability at a later date.
