The 2023 Acer Aspire Vero 15 was an environmentally-conscious effort from Acer that didn’t disappoint. The laptop excelled in our review and earned a “very good” rating of 88%. For 2024, Acer has announced the Acer Aspire Vero 16, a 16-inch successor with even more sustainable materials in the build.
The Acer Aspire Vero 16 features a brand-new chassis made from 60% recycled plastic, an improvement over the Aspire Vero 15 (Available on Amazon) that boasts 50% recycled content. Complementing the eco-friendly chassis is completely recycled packaging and an OceanGlass touchpad made from Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP).
Inside the new chassis, the Acer Aspire Vero 16 rocks an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory, up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, and Wi-Fi 7. Additionally, Acer claims that the Acer Aspire Vero 16 can last up to 10.5 hours on a single charge, a figure that is actually surpassed by the Acer Vero 15 (2023) in our review.
Around the front, the Acer Aspire Vero 16 has a 16-inch 2,560 x 1,600 WQXGA display in a 16:10 aspect ratio with an advertised 100% coverage of the sRGB gamut. On top of the display, there is a QHD webcam with Acer's PurifiedView AI enhancement. Talking about AI, the Acer Aspire Vero 16, like the Acer Swift X14, features a dedicated Windows Copilot button on the keyboard.
The Acer Aspire Vero 16 (AV16-51P) will be available starting March 2024 at an entry price of €1,199 ($1,314).
