CES 2024 | Acer Swift X 14 laptop updated with Intel Core Ultra Meteor Lake CPUs and up to RTX 4070 GPU
Acer has announced the Swift X 14 (SFX14-72G) laptop at CES 2024 alongside the Swift Go 14 and Go 16. The new Swift X 14 retains the design of the 2023 Acer Swift X 14 while packing substantial upgrades under the hood.
The biggest change the 2024 Acer Swift X brings to the table is the inclusion of the all-new Intel Core Ultra H-series Meteor Lake processors with up to 32 GB of LPPDR5X memory and up to 1 TB of storage. Additionally, the Acer Swift X 14 now packs up to an RTX 4070 laptop GPU which is a massive improvement over the RTX 4050 board of the 2023 Acer Swift X 14 (Available on Amazon). To take full advantage of the RTX GPU, the Acer Swift X 14 comes with NVIDIA Studio drivers pre-installed to optimize content creation workflows.
When it comes to the display, the Acer Swift X 14 features a 14.5-inch OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 2.8K resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Acer claims the display to boast a Delta E<2, 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, and 500 nits of brightness. To that end, the Acer Swift X 14 is VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certified.
In other words, the Acer Swift X 14’s screen appears to be ready for all your media consumption and content production efforts.
The Acer Swift X 14 also has a new QHD webcam, an upgrade over the FHD shooter present on the 2023 model. Per Acer, the webcam boasts Acer PurifiedView and Purified 2.0 which use AI to enhance picture and audio quality.
Finally, the Acer Swift X 14 features the same connectivity options as its predecessor with two USB Type-C Thunderbolt ports, a MicroSD card reader, and an HDMI 2.1 output alongside Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth LE.
The Acer Swift X 14 (SFX14-72G) will be available from March 2024 at a starting price of €1,599 ($1,752).
