Realme GT5 Pro model number, specs and design confirmed in new leak
Rumors of a switch to a round central camera hump in Realme's next flagship smartphone seem vindicated in a new leak from TENAA, which has just registered a new device from the brand that looks much more like the Xiaomi 13 Ultra or OnePlus Open than it does the GT5.
Nevertheless, the new smartphone is also slated to join that series as its new top-end Pro variant. Its new camera housing - which, as its new mugshots suggests, is nearly as chunky as it is wide - seems to contain 4 lenses, although TENAA has only detected 3: dual 50MP shooters and an 8MP tertiary lens.
Nevertheless, the GT5 Pro (or Realme RMX3888) as pictured seems to have a periscope zoom lens, also thought to feature in new flagships from iQOO and OnePlus. The smartphone's new certification also contains another unexpected omission, courtesy of the OEM itself this time.
TENAA has approved it to launch in SKUs with 8, 12 or 16GB of RAM - yet not 24GB, even though that new top-end option is available in the 'vanilla' GT5 and might also be present in the Pro version's impending rivals. Then again, Xiaomi has also chosen to go without it in its new 14 series with the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
Therefore, it seems Realme will also rely on the same new up-to-3.3.GHz processor for the curved-display GT5 Pro's success. Finally, it may manage to beat the Xiaomi 14 series in terms of battery capacity, having been certified with dual 2,630mAh batteries that might be rounded up to 5,400mAh for their typical capacity rating.
