Realme GT5 Pro tipped to launch as camera-centric Android flagship smartphone
Word of a new smartphone with the increasingly go-to round central camera hump to presage truly high-end design has arisen. It is said to pack the new IMX966 main shooter and 64MP 3X telephoto lens combination to go with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. However, unlike what some Android aficionados might be thinking by now, this new tip pertains not to the OPPO Find X7, but to the Realme "GT5 Pro".
It is indeed said to move on to a new top-end processing platform, despite the fact the GT5 is an 8 Gen 2 device. The odd parallels with expectations for OPPO's flagship line-up continues with the mention of 100W SuperVOOC rather than the 240W selling point of the GT5, as well as super-fast 50W wireless charging.
That charging technology is slated to go with a battery that, in keeping with rumors of premium-grade smartphones that will go beyond the traditional 5,000mAh upper limit in the very near future, might have a capacity of 5,400mAh. It might keep a new 2K display on in the "GT5 Pro".
Accordingly, it might seem Realme is making a real effort to compete in the premium Android smartphone space. However, as the Weibo post making these allegations has just been taken down by its source Digital Chat Station, this rumor might need a big old pinch of salt - for now, at least.
