Honor X9b showcased in eye-catching colour options with 108 MP triple camera, 120 Hz OLED display and mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset
Earlier today, Honor launched the Play 8T in China, a new mid-range smartphone based around a modern MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Additionally, the company has presented the Honor X9b, albeit in Saudi Arabia first before in other markets. Contrary to current naming conventions, the Honor X9b succeeds the Honor X9a, despite the latter arriving at the start of the year.
As GSMArena notes, Honor has based the X9b around the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, an upgrade over the Snapdragon 695 5G that powers the X9a. The upgrades continue, with Honor also including a 108 MP primary camera that it claims delivers 3x lossless zoom. The handset lacks a dedicated telephoto camera though, with 5 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP macro and 16 MP front-facing cameras offered instead.
Moreover, the Honor X9b has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 2,652 x 1,200 pixels with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, a 5,800 mAh battery powers proceedings, which it can recharge at 35 W. Like the Play 8T, the Honor X9b ships with MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13. Although Honor has not confirmed pricing yet, the X9b's full specifications can be viewed on the company's Saudi Arabian website.
