The line of Honor smartphones that typically does battle with the OPPO Reno series in the camera-centric, mid-range Android market is set to turn from 90 to 100 in its latest generation. They are now also tipped to upgrade in other respects thanks to a new report.
It purports to have spotted registrations for the Honor 100 (or MAA-AN00) and 100 Pro (MAA-AN10) on the 3C website, and have thus found out that they will both have 100W charging. That would be a significant improvement on the 66W 90, albeit a milder upgrade on the 90 Pro (at 90W).
The "100-series" devices would not be the first of their line to launch with that fast-charging tech (that Honor goes to the 70 series); however, they are thought to be the first to feature 1.5K displays driven by up to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoCs. Their actual launch event remains unscheduled, although it could occur before the end of November 2023.
