Honor has presented the Magic Vs2, another ultra-thin foldable that it has shown first in China. According to the company, the Magic Vs2 is 5.1 mm thick when opened, which is between 0.3 and 0.4 mm thicker than the Magic V2. For context, the Magic Vs2 is also 1 mm thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold5, a lead that extends to 2.7 mm when both devices are closed at 10.7 mm and 13.4 mm, respectively.
Additionally, the Magic Vs2 has 6.43-inch cover and 7.92-inch internal displays. Based on Honor's specification sheet, both are LTPO OLED panels with 120 Hz peak refresh rates. However, while the cover display operates at 2,376 x 1,060 pixels, the larger cover display has a 2,344 x 2,156 pixels native resolution. Meanwhile, a 5,000 mAh battery powers both displays, as does a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset and up to 16 GB of RAM.
Moreover, the handset supports 66 W wired charging, has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and three rear-facing cameras. Surprisingly, Honor has only optically stabilised the device's telephoto camera, which outputs at 20 MP with 2.5x optical zoom. By contrast, its 50 MP primary, 12 MP ultra-wide-angle and 16 MP front-facing cameras make do with EIS instead. As expected, the Magic Vs2 ships with Android 13 too, which Honor overlays with MagicOS 7.2.
The Magic Vs2 starts at CNY 6,999 (~US$959) in China with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, the handset is available with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for CNY 7,699 (~US$1,055). Seemingly, both memory configurations can be purchased in Coral Purple, Glacier Blue and Velvet Black colour options; Honor has not outlined global availability or pricing yet, though.
