OnePlus Open officially teased as leaker shares launch details and pricing
OnePlus remains quiet about when it will launch its first foldable smartphone. The company has now ramped up its teaser campaign though, having recently given early access to a few influencers. As the images below show, OnePlus has offered up glimpses of the Open's design, which integrates an alert slider like many of the company's other flagships.
Meanwhile, Roland Quandt has shared an alleged launch date for the OnePlus Open, as well as various marketing renders and European pricing. Like the OnePlus 11, the OnePlus Open will be available in black and green colour options. However, the former appears to have a vegan leather finish, which should pick up fewer fingerprints than its green counterpart.
Reportedly, OnePlus will finally unveil the Open on October 19 for US$1,699, thereby undercutting the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 by US$100. For reference, the two smartphones have already been compared in a hands-on video, covered separately, albeit as the former's Oppo equivalent. With that being said, OnePlus Open and Oppo N3 Fold are expected to be the same device based around a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 256 GB of storage and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
