Honor shows Magic Vs2 and Watch 4 Pro in teaser images before launch
Honor has not started selling the Magic V2 globally yet, despite showcasing the foldable in Europe last month during IFA 2023. Nonetheless, the company has begun teasing a newer foldable, along with a new smartwatch. For context, Honor has only shared the teaser below on Chinese social media. Thus, the Magic Vs2 and Watch 4 Pro may not receive a global release initially.
At any rate, the pair will receive an official introduction on October 12, in three days' time. Incidentally, leaks about the pair have been thin on the ground, making the short lead time between Honor's first teaser and launch day rather surprising. While the Magic Vs2 will debut a few months after the Magic V2, it remains to be seen whether it will serve as a successor or a cheaper alternative.
Currently, little is known about the Magic Vs2 beyond the information contained within its sole teaser image. Hence, the Magic Vs2 appears to have thin bezels surrounding its foldable display, a blue colour option like the Galaxy Z Fold5 and three rear-facing cameras. For reference, the inscription in the image below reads 'Matrix Image 50 MP / 1:1.9 - 2.4 / 16 - 62', confirming that the handset has a 50 MP primary camera with a f/1.9 aperture, plus 16 mm ultra-wide-angle and 62 mm telephoto (f/2.4) cameras.
Reportedly, Honor has also equipped the Magic Vs2 with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Separately, the Watch 4 Pro differs in design from the Watch 4, which has a squircle-shaped display. In fact, the Watch 4 Pro looks more like a follow-up to last year's Watch GS 3, albeit with narrower display bezels and a new button layout that incorporates a digital crown.
