OPPO Find N3 said to launch heavier, yet thinner, than its predecessor
OPPO has finally confirmed that the Find N3 will launch soon, although it will be known as the OnePlus Open in some regions. The device has been backed to have a different footprint compared to some of its contemporaries such as the Pixel Fold. Now, some of those rumors have been allegedly vindicated, although the leak in question might need a large pinch of salt itself.
The Find N3 has been thought to launch in black or perhaps also gold up until now; however, according to ITHome, a new hands-on leak seemingly confirms that the device will come in a high-end red vegan leather finish. The SKU's weight and depth while closed were also apparently tested, putting the device at 244.8 grams (g) and 12.44 millimeters (mm) respectively.
Therefore, the Find N3 might not be the first foldable smartphone to challenge conventional smartphones in these terms, particularly not the iPhone 15 Pro Max - although it seems to have outdone the Pixel Fold (283g) and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 (253g) in some respects.
It might also lose hope of launching as the thinnest or lightest foldable of 2023, although it may at least be slimmer than its predecessor at 14.6mm - then again, its new alleged measurements do not take its large circular camera hump into account.
Then again, this new leak, allegedly courtesy of no less a person than the "CEO of Weibo", is now no longer to be found on the platform. Therefore, whether the OnePlus Open/Find N3 is really that substantial remains to be seen.
