Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro rumoured to debut during Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 launch event
In the last few months, there have been various rumours about Android OEMs bringing forward the launches of their next flagships. Specifically, the likes of Samsung and Xiaomi are expected to leverage the earlier public debut of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to unveil the Galaxy S24 and Xiaomi 14 series, respectively. However, this still represents a January 2024 introduction of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra, which are all rumoured to feature Qualcomm's next-generation chipset.
In comparison, Kartikey Singh and Weibo leaker 'Panda is very bald' believe that the Xiaomi 14 series could be here before the end of the month. According to Singh, there will be a Xiaomi 14-related announcement of sorts during Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit 2023, which runs between October 24 and October 26. Reportedly, Qualcomm will reference Xiaomi's forthcoming flagships on day one, therefore implying that this year's Snapdragon Summit will begin with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 showcase.
While Singh does not mention a specific release date for the Xiaomi 14 series, his Weibo counterpart believes that Xiaomi's next flagships will be in stores as early as October 27. As usual, this time only applies to China. By contrast, a global release of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro is not anticipated until early 2024, likely after Samsung begins shipping the Galaxy S24 series.
