OPPO Reno11 line-up, specs and camera tidbits emerge in new leak
A new smartphone spotted on Weibo in the hands of Chinese actor Zhu Yilong is thought to belong to the Reno11 series, due to the strong resemblance of its camera hump to the "Window of Vision" design premiered in the preceding 10 series.
That line of mid-range OPPO smartphones had 3 variants; however, the Reno11 series will drop the top-end Pro+ model of yesteryear - according to the famous leaker Digital Chat Station, that is. Then again, the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 will feature (again) in the vanilla 11.
The 11 Pro, on the other hand, will step up to a "Snapdragon 8 Plus" chipset, which might imply scope for another 8+ Gen 1-powered flagship (with another curved 1.5K display to boot) which, if so, would be another classic Reno move.
The alleged recycling also extends to the new Reno-series cameras, which, while projected to be as HyperTone-enhanced as the Find X7 Pro, will not have a periscope zoom lens. The 32MP IMX709 2X module is tipped to make a comeback as a "vertical telephoto" shooter in both the Reno11 and 11 Pro.
