Cannabis vape pioneer S&B launches portable Venty with 20 second heat up and adjustable airflow
Storz & Bickel (or S&B) is easily the oldest and most respected brand of high-quality herbal vaporizers today. While vaporizing cannabis may seem to be a recent trend, S&B has been developing its innovative devices since 1996. All of its models, made in Germany to exacting standards, are considered the gold standard in the industry. Yesterday, S&B introduced the Venty, its first new portable vaporizer in ten years, retaining the best features of its existing lineup while adding some exciting new ones.
S&B claims that the Venty, which heats up in just 20 seconds, is their fastest device yet, thanks to a new 130 W power unit. The other major feature is its adjustable airflow dial, which allows users to set up the draw restriction as per their preference, all the way up to 20 litres/minute (the highest airflow in any S&B device). This also bolsters its medical use credentials, as it will be easier for those with lesser lung strength.
To handle the high yet variable flow rate, the Venty uses a flow-meter “which measures the negative pressure of your inhalation and dynamically adjusts the heating to match your draw.” This ensures consistent vapour production regardless of how fast one draws, solving a common issue with most devices. S&B has also improved its already great cooling unit, so the vapour is cool and never harsh-tasting when it exits the device. Again, this is particularly beneficial for medical users. In fact, S&B is the market leader in medically certified vaporizers, and like all its products, the Venty uses only high-end medical-grade materials.
Precise temperature adjustments can be made from 40 °C to 210 °C (104 °F - 410 °F), either with the on-device buttons or from a Bluetooth enabled web or Android app (its iOS app was removed by Apple). The app also controls things like temperature presets, display brightness, vibration settings and charging mode. The Venty charges via USB-C at up to 45 W, which replenishes 80% charge in 40 minutes.
