Rumor | OPPO and Samsung develop an ultra-narrow-bezel 2K display for next-gen flagship smartphones
OPPO's Find X6 Pro is one of the most impressive 2023 Android smartphones that is not (officially) available on the international market. However, it is now said to have been left behind in one of its key selling points by its own next generation already.
That would be its display, marketed with one of the wildest spec-sheets out there thus far. Despite this, however, the Find X6 Pro still exhibits a somewhat noticeable forehead and chin, and, like some other devices of its class, employs curved-screen technology rather than really deal with its side bezels either.
This issue might finally be addressed in the supposedly upcoming Find X7 Pro, with a 2K display designed by Samsung to be exceptionally "narrow" in some respect, according to the prolific leaker Digital Chat Station. Accordingly, OPPO's next flagship will either have slimmer borders for its curved edges - or, just maybe, will take the Sony Xperia 1 series on directly in terms of one-handed use for the first time.
In either case, the X7 Pro is also now projected to throw a "high-frequency dimming" spec for potentially improved viewer eye-health protection into the mix, and also to do at least as well as its predecessor in terms of color depth and display brightness.
