OPPO backs its first-gen MR headset as ready and able to take on anything else in the fast-growing mixed or extended reality (MR/XR) space with "advanced technology and unique innovations". They include the binocular video pass-through (VPT) feature tipped to become the next hot spec among headsets of that type, as well as the same rapid SuperVOOC charging as the OEM's smartphones. Then again, it has yet to become available to the public.

OPPO has announced the creation of its own MR Glass product to join Air Glass in showcasing their maker's ability to harness the "immense potential of XR technologies". The new device seems to have a fairly standard headset form-factor, and comes with ringed controls in a matching white colorway.

Nevertheless, OPPO asserts that it has the most cutting-edge tech necessary "to create and showcase MR experiences", the latest Snapdragon XR2+ silicon specifically for its category included. The company has also endorse the idea of "Binocular VPT" via dual RGB cameras as a potentially vital thing in next-gen headset terms.

On that note, MR Glass is also rated to incorporate a 120Hz refresh rate, pancake lenses and "skin-friendly" build materials. However, it is only to be available through the Snapdragon Spaces Developer program in China for now. Nevertheless, OPPO may have only just been in time to prove that it too can make a headset ready to compete with whatever might come for it in the immediate future.
