Syntech touts the new VR Elite as the best way to augment the Meta Quest 2 headset to take the "pressure" of prolonged headset-wearing sessions off. It is made of "hydrous thermoplastic synthetic resin" and "ultra-comfort PU foam", with "skin-friendly" pads at "each support point" and an optional cotton strap for extra stability.
Such third-party straps are hardly unheard-of on retail sites at this stage, especially for the Quest 2; however, Syntech asserts that the VR Elite stands out with its Red Dot Award-winning design and generous 10,000mAh power-pack.
It has slots that correspond to those on the back of the main part of the head-strap, and is rated to re-fill the headset approximately twice over for 4 to 6 hours of estimated extra gaming time. The VR Elite comes with a right-angled USB type-C to -C cable in the box for this purpose, and is now priced at US$59.99 ahead of its imminent release to Amazon.
