Philips Evnia 25M2N3200W: New budget gaming monitor looms with 240 Hz refresh rate
The 25M2N3200W is one of two new gaming monitors that Philips has introduced under its Evnia series, the other being the Evnia 25M2N5200P. According to Philips, the Evnia 25M2N3200W relies on a 24.5-inch VA panel that outputs at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with a 90 PPI pixel density. Additionally, Philips claims that the monitor offers 10-bit colour depth, albeit 8-bit with FRC and not true 10-bit.
Moreover, the monitor provides 300 nits peak brightness, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio HDR10 support and Flicker-Free technology. Arguably, the greatest strength of the Evnia 25M2N3200W is its 240 Hz refresh rate, which it delivers with 1 ms GtG response times and Adaptive Sync support to maximise image smoothness when gaming. For reference, Philips has included the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x HDMI 2.0
Philips should start selling the Evnia 25M2N3200W within the next few days alongside the Evnia 25M2N5200P, covered separately. At launch, the company will charge £179.99 for the Evnia 25M2N3200W in the UK or €219 in the Eurozone. Please see Philips' website for more details.
