Analogue has finally confirmed when it will open Analogue Duo pre-orders, nearly three years after it debuted the device. To recap, the Analogue Duo is a retro home console, unlike the handheld-orientated Analogue Pocket. Still based around an FPGA chip, Analogue's latest gaming device is designed to play NEC-era games at up to 1080p.
Specifically, the Analogue Duo is compatible with PC Engine, PC Engine CD-ROM, SuperGrafx, Super Arcade CD-ROM, TurboGrafx-16 and TurboGrafx CD games. The Analogue Duo is also region free, and offers worldwide compatibility at 50-60 Hz/100-240 V. Moreover, the 267 x 177 x 34.7 mm device has a PC Engine controller port, twin USB ports for wired controllers and Bluetooth for wireless controllers.
Analogue will open Duo pre-orders on May 19 at 15:00 UTC. The Analogue Duo will be available for US$249.99 in Japan and US variants, US$50 more than its original list price. Analogue will restrict pre-orders to two units per order, which will both ship with HDMI and USB Type-C cables, plus an 18 W charger. Please see Analogue's website for more details.
