Syntech 6-in-1 Docking Station launches with Steam Deck-sized cradle
The market is not short of multi-port docks, and Syntech's new version may not have as much I/O (or Thunderbolt support) as some; however, it is touted as one built with the Steam Deck in mind.
The Dock's "cleverly designed round chassis" even integrates a wide divot, cut out of its "High Quality ABS+PC" shell so as to accommodate the device, even with a case (albeit ideally one less than 2mm in depth) on and in a way rated not to block its vents.
Accordingly, the 6-in-1 Dock is touted as the ideal travel companion for the Steam Deck, as it might allow the user to plug it into any Gigabit Ethernet cable and/or 4K/60Hz monitor (or projector) they might encounter. It even has an in-built, angled type-C cable for the console's top port, leaving its own USB inputs free for external storage devices, smartphones and more.
The bottom of the dock also houses a type-C port to keep the Steam Deck powered while it rests in its cradle. Syntech has priced this new accessory at US$49.99 via Amazon; however, it is 10% off at present, and has an additional -40% coupon, for a final price of US$24.99 while launch-event stocks last.
