Anker 778 Thunderbolt Docking Station (12-in-1, Thunderbolt 4) now available
The Anker 778 Thunderbolt Docking Station (12-in-1, Thunderbolt 4) has been revealed in the US and UK. The gadget's outputs include a 40 Gbps 100 W Thunderbolt 4 upstream port to power your connected laptop. Two 30 W USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports can charge peripherals or transfer data at a 10 Gbps rate. Other file transfer options include four USB-A ports, two 5 Gbps and two 480 Mbps.
You can connect up to four displays thanks to a Thunderbolt 4 downstream port, an 8K@30Hz HDMI 2.1 port and two 8K@30Hz DisplayPort 1.4; with four monitors connected, the maximum resolution on Windows is 4K@30Hz and on Mac is 4K@60Hz. However, Anker notes that this is incompatible with M1/M2 MacBooks or ASUS laptops with an AMD CPU. Also available are a Gigabit Ethernet port and a Kensington NanoSaver Lock Slot.
The gadget comes with a 180 W power adapter, power cable and 2.3 ft (~0.7 m) Thunderbolt 4 cable. The dock is compatible with various macOS and Windows laptops, such as the Dell Latitude 3520, the Dell XPS 13 9305 and the HP EliteBook 850 G8.
