Oppo Find X6 Pro ranked as best camera smartphone in DxOMark analysis
The Find X6 Pro has shot to the top of DxOMark's leaderboard, less than two months after the website crowned the Magic5 Pro as having the best cameras in a smartphone that it had reviewed to date. The gap between the Find X6 Pro and Magic5 Pro is particularly small though, with only 1 point separating them. As such, the Find X6 Pro also outperforms the Galaxy S23 Ultra, iPhone 14 Pro Max, Pixel 7 Pro and the Mate 50 Pro, among other recent flagship smartphones.
While the Find X6 Pro likely will remain a Chinese exclusive, the Magic5 Pro will soon be available in multiple markets, including the UK and the Eurozone. Unsurprisingly, the Find X6 Pro shines in most areas, with excellent detail across its three rear-facing camera sensors, even in low light conditions. Additionally, the handset has fast and reliable autofocus, as well as effective video stabilisation and a convincing bokeh effect in portrait mode. Moreover, the Find X6 Pro succeeds at minimising image noise in all conditions.
However, the Find X6 Pro falls short in some areas. Namely, DxOMark observed dynamic range differences between the image seen in the viewfinder and the end result. Also, the Find X6 Pro suffers from some exposure instabilities and a low contrast in backlit portrait shots. Similarly, Oppo's processing results in unnatural skin tones in certain conditions. All in all, the Find X6 Pro produces excellent-looking photos and videos. Unfortunately, the handset is only available via import unless you live in China.
