Honor has launched the Magic5 Pro in the UK, nearly two months after debuting the smartphone at MWC 2023. Currently, the UK is the first market in which the Magic5 Pro will be available, with Honor earmarking a release later this quarter across Europe. Honor has not provided a specific date when the Magic5 Pro will be orderable in the Eurozone, though. In comparison, Honor will start selling the Magic5 Pro in the UK on April 19.
To recap, the Magic5 Pro has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and a 5,100 mAh battery, as well as a 6.81-inch LPTO AMOLED display that operates at 2,848 x 1,312 pixels, 120 Hz and with 1,800 nits peak brightness. For reference, Honor will charge €1,199 for the Magic5 Pro in the Eurozone with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. By contrast, the handset costs £949.99 (~€1,083) in the UK with the same memory combination.
In other words, the Magic5 Pro undercuts the Xiaomi 13 Pro by £150 in the UK and €100 in the Eurozone. Similarly, an equivalent Galaxy S23 Ultra retails for £1,399 in the UK. However, Honor is offering an £80 early bird voucher for those who subscribe to email updates and 10% discounts if you already own an Honor device or are eligible for a student discount. Seemingly, the twin 10% discounts cannot be doubled up. Please see Honor's website for more details.
