The much-hyped Xiaomi 13 Ultra was the talk of the town, with rumours about its magnificent camera dating back to late 2022. Unlike its predecessor, the phone is launching globally, much to the delight of camera enthusiasts worldwide. We now have some crisp renders of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, thanks to @OnLeaks and Smartprix.
Strictly speaking, this isn't the first time the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has been pictured online. A real-world image of the smartphone emerged earlier, and the renders confirm its authenticity. While it retails the Xiaomi 12S Ultra's circular camera layout, the actual sensors have been moved around quite a bit. A 1-inch 50 MP Sony IMX989 stars the show, along with what looks like a periscope lens and two others.
All four Xiaomi 13 Ultra sensors will have a resolution of 50 MP. Xiaomi has also thrown in a dual-LED flash along with a leather finish. However, the company's branding is much more subtle this time, and the Leica logo is missing altogether. That could change with the final product, though, as the Leica partnership has been at the heart of Xiaomi's marketing material for the 13 Ultra.
Apart from the camera housing, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra follows industry standard design practices, such as a hole-punch selfie camera and a 120 Hz AMOLED screen that curves around its edges. Its power and volume rockers are next to each other on the right spine. An under-display fingerprint sensor will handle biometric authentication.
