Rumor | OPPO will exit the French market at the end of June 2023
France was once among OnePlus' main focus points in Europe, with team-ups and partnerships with retail companies such as Fnac. Some are still present, along those for the brand's parent company OPPO - but not for much longer, according to a new report.
Vendors and promotional consultants such as Atmospheres in the country now claim to have experienced an "abrupt" end to all prior agreements with OPPO, some of which apparently concern planned sales of potentially sought-after products such as the Find N2 Flip.
The apparent sudden end to operations is reportedly to be seen in the physical stores of chains such as Darty, in which all marketing material or references to the brand OPPO have or are being removed. The OEM is said to be completely out of France by June 30, 2023: a move that will reportedly cost one sub-contractor business worth €2.47 million (~US$2.71 million).
OPPO itself, on the other hand, asserts that it will still have a presence in France after this date, and re-assures its existing customers that they will continue to have access to support and software upgrades in the future.
