Retroid has teased a new version of the Pocket 2S, roughly three months after it started selling the compact gaming handheld. To recap, the Retroid Pocket 2S debuted in six colour options, many drawing inspiration from old Nintendo designs. At the time, the company also hinted at releasing a 'Metal' version, the design of which it has now presented.
Incidentally, third-party resellers are already selling metal custom shells for the Retroid Pocket 2S. At the time of publication, Histco Enterprise sells blue, gold and grey shells for the Pocket 2 and Pocket 2S at £91.09. Alternatively, the company sell complete units of both for £137.88 and £153.37, respectively.

Details here
The exact details of Retroid's Metal shell remain unknown for now. However, it appears that it only plans to sell its version in grey. Retroid has not confirmed when it will launch the Pocket 2S Metal Edition either, nor for how much.
If the Retroid Pocket 3 Plus Metal Edition is anything to go by, we imagine that the new Retroid Pocket 2S will start at US$129 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, a US$30 uplift. Similarly, the device's 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage variant would likely retail for US$149. Please see our Retroid Pocket 2S launch article for hardware details.
