Yesterday, Nvidia released the third driver package of the month. It arrives in time to bring DLSS 3 support to Ghostrunner 2 and DLSS 3.5 optimizations to Alan Wake 2, which launches today. The size of the new software package is 545 MB and its version number reads 545.92. This GeForce Game Ready Driver release targets both desktop and laptop GPUs.
Alan Wake 2 takes advantage of the entire tree of improvements provided by DLSS 3.5, namely Super Resolution, Frame Generation, Reflex, and Ray Reconstruction. Earlier this month, Nvidia introduced a special bundle that includes this title. Available until November 13, the Alan Wake 2 GeForce RTX 40 Series Bundle provides a digital copy of the game to buyers of eligible GeForce RTX 4070, 4070 Ti, 4080 and 4090 graphics cards and desktop PCs, as well as to those who acquire laptops with GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080, or RTX 4070 graphics.
Although Nvidia mentions DLSS 3 support for Ghostrunner 2, there are no details or benchmark results included. According to the Release Highlights section in the Nvidia drivers page, the 545.92 release fixes one bug as well, which turned desktop colors overexposed after closing VR applications (bug 4171604).
As usual, the new driver can also be downloaded via the GeForce Experience app, which receives optimal performance settings for Alan Wake 2 and two other games, namely Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Lords of the Fallen. Sadly, no G-Sync Compatible displays are joining the list this time.
