OnePlus 12 tipped to launch with up to 24GB of RAM and well-chilled Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC

The OnePlus 12 has yet to launch as a new Android flagship smartphone, yet has allegedly turned up on the AnTuTu Benchmark database already, with scores purporting to confirm the presence of a new, cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The new leak may also reveal the device's model number, cooling upgrades and RAM specs in advance.

According to the legendary tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 12 has managed to sneak its way onto AnTuTu ahead of its launch. Then again, with a score of well over 2 million on this benchmark, it was not likely to stay low-key for very long.

The "OnePlus 12" (or "PJD110") has scored a total of 2,110,808 in fact: enough perhaps to prove the existence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. Then again, it has not managed to beat Qualcomm's own Reference Design for the same processor; however, Digital Chat Station asserts that this is because the OnePlus handset has 12GB of RAM as opposed to 24GB.

Nevertheless, the OnePlus 12 will also apparently rock that new top-end option on its launch, in the form of a SKU that may indeed reach those recording-breaking echelons of performance. It will also have the latest iteration of the new Tiangong cooling system that debuted in the Ace 2 Pro, with a "super-large" vapor chamber in this case.

Therefore, it seems OnePlus is gearing up to tout the 12 as one of the most performance-focused Android flagship smartphones of its generation.
