The OnePlus 12 is an upcoming flagship Android smartphone thought to launch with specific variants for the Chinese and international markets, even if they only differ in terms of model number. Now, the latter has appeared in what might be its first national telecommunications regulator leak, thereby possibly hinting that it will launch earlier than its predecessor the 11.

The OnePlus 11 was part of a stampede to be one of the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered flagship smartphones on the Chinese market in 2023, which made its debut on the international market nearly a month later look chilled by comparison.

Then again, it looks like the global version of its successor the 12 may not have to wait so long for its own premiere, as it has started to appear in official international certifications already. This process has reportedly kicked off in the United Arab Emirates, where OnePlus has obtained a registration for the 12 from that nation's TDRA authority.

The new leak bears the global 12's alleged model number (CPH2581) and affirms that it is a "mobile phone" made by OnePlus.

Then again, it can't corroborate any other details allegedly spoiled ahead of its probably imminent debut, which include juicy tidbits on its cameras, groundbreaking display, new and potentially blazing-fast Qualcomm platform, and its less surprising (yet at least consistent) charging tech and industrial design.
