OnePlUnlike its predecessors, the OnePlus 12 is slated to bring more than iterative upgrades. Earlier rumours suggested it would get a chassis redesign and an ultra-bright screen. Some real-world images of the smartphone have now shown up online, which, in part, confirm the former, along with press renders from earlier. Renowned leaker Ice Universe also talks more about the OnePlus 12's screen in detail.
The real-world images in question seem to be from an invite-only event that highlights the phone's flagship 2K BOE display. There seems to be conflicting information about its brightness, with Ice Universe stating it maxes out at 3,000 nits while Abhishek Yadav insists the figure is 2,600 nits. One can only hope that it is robust enough not to develop the dreaded green line issue that has been plaguing OnePlus devices for the past few generations.
Moving on to the OnePlus 12's design, its centrally-placed 32 MP hole-punch camera sticks out prominently. At the side, the iconic alert slider makes a comeback. Its camera housing is obfuscated, but a close look gives u a fair idea of how the individual modules will be laid out. The phone is said to have many firsts for a OnePlus device, including wireless charging capability and an IR blaster.
