OnePlus 12 launch date thought official following 10-year anniversary event announcement
OnePlus has been playing the upcoming Android flagship preview game by highlighting the device's potential best attributes little by little on social media - however, the OEM has decided that now is the time to get serious by unveiling a date for its next major press conference.
The company has yet to confirm outright that the long-awaited 12 will indeed debut during this event - however, it has been tagging it as its "10-year flagship" on Weibo, which goes nicely with the theme for its latest promo.
Then again, the date in question is December 4, 2023, whereas OnePlus has always defined its "birth-date" as December 17, 2013. On the other hand, the potentially early anniversary party could give the OEM the chance to release the 12 closer to the later date in China - or even launch it globally.
Either way, OnePlus may be expected to launch a device that looks quite like the existing 11, albeit with "new" and upgraded cameras (developed by the OPPO Find-series' own team, according to OnePlus China president Li Jie Louis), an allegedly hyper-advanced display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC capable of some of the fastest speeds in the industry.
