Many foldable Android smartphone aficionados may have looked at the OnePlus Open at its launch and considered it the ideal new dual-screen device - were it not for one or two key omissions, the lack of stylus support as a selling point being a prime example.
However, it seems the new book-like device does in fact have this feature after all. The Reddit user Rashed341 purports to showcase it in action on a OnePlus Open, demonstrating its ability to respond to a stylus as a Galaxy S23 Ultra might with its S Pen.
The foldable smartphone was able to register the stylus as an input with a battery level and as a Bluetooth device. Then again, the accessory in question is an OPPO Pen, originally designed as a companion to the Find N2 and, as such, not officially available on the global market.
In addition, Rashed341 failed to demonstrate outright that the device was using OxygenOS 13.2 and not a version of ColorOS 13; then again, other users have indicated that their own OnePlus Open units have stylus support out of the box, despite the brand's clear preference for focusing on the new flagship's "Pixel Stacked Revolution" cameras and Open Canvas multitasking in its marketing.
Therefore, it seems that the Open can indeed boast working with (some) styluses as an added bonus feature, prompting Rashed341 to declare it as the "BEST FOLDABLE EVER" - so long as you don't need wireless charging, that is.
