Vivo has hyped its upcoming Watch 3 with a new teaser video confirming several details about the wearable, including the fact that it will be available in black or gold case options. Either will be round and sport a physical crown.
The OEM has also now revealed that the Watch 3 has been equipped with a custom detachable strap system that can convert it from an almost formal-wear accessory to a sports watch with ease. On that note, the Vivo Watch 3 is also now touted as a powerful fitness tracker that might help the user with other aspects of their life such as their health and sleep.
That is where the resemblance to the Pixel Watch 2 ends, however, as Vivo has also announced that the Watch 3 will run BlueOS out of the box. It is a "self-developed smart operating system for the era of general artificial intelligence" built using the Rust programming language also used to construct the new chatbot Grok.
Vivo touts it to help the Watch 3 reach new levels of performance in a smoother, more secure and smarter manner. It will debut alongside its new software and the X100 series of smartphones later in November 2023.
