Huawei Watch Ultimate Gold Edition to launch next month for €2,999
Today, Huawei presented the Watch GT 4 series, a cheaper alternative to the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro that it has created in two sizes. While the Watch GT 4 series dominates Huawei's social media output, the company also introduced a new version of the Watch Ultimate. For reference, the Watch Ultimate remains the most expensive smartwatch series that Huawei offers after the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro.
To recap, the Watch Ultimate debuted first in China with a 1.5-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire crystal and a 530 mAh battery. Additionally, Huawei designed the Watch Ultimate around a ceramic back, a titanium band and a zirconium case, for which it charges a minimum of €749 in the Eurozone. By contrast, the new Watch Ultimate Gold Edition relies upon a gold PVD titanium strap, which Huawei has accented with a gold bezel and crown.
It is worth noting that Huawei has not commented on the type of gold used at the time of publication. At any rate, Huawei has priced the Gold Edition at €2,999, roughly 4x as much as the cheapest Watch Ultimate. Huawei has not shared full product details yet, nor has it listed the smartwatch on its website. However, the company is expected to begin selling the Watch Ultimate Gold Edition next month in Europe, likely in limited quantities.
