Huawei has released two new smartwatches, both under the banner of the Watch GT 4 series. As always, the Watch GT series serves as a more affordable option to Huawei's Watch series, which is now on its fourth generation. While the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro rely on a powerful chipset at the expense of comparatively short battery life, both Watch GT 4 sizes should outlast many of their peers.
Specifically, Huawei rates the 41 mm edition for up to 7 days between charges or a mere 2 days with Always-On Display mode activated. In comparison, Huawei claims that the 46 mm option should last twice as long in all scenarios as its smaller sibling. Please see Huawei's 'specs' page for more battery life details.
Additionally, the Watch GT 4 series is water resistant to 5 ATM and packs a GPS module, an NFC chip for making mobile payments and a TruSeen 5.5+ sensor array. According to Huawei, the latter can monitor your heart rate, SpO2 levels and even your skin temperature, although it does away with the ECG capabilities of the Watch GT 3 Pro. Meanwhile, both Watch GT 4 sizes have AMOLED displays that resolve at 466 x 466 pixels, as well as a rotating crown and a secondary side button.

For reference, the Watch GT 4 series is compatible with devices running at least Android 8.0 and iOS 13.0. Both models are already orderable in Europe and the UK, where they sell from €249 and £229.99, respectively. Please note that Huawei will dispatch 41 mm and 46 mm stainless steel variants on different dates to their regular Watch GT 4 counterparts.
On its websites, Huawei states it will begin shipping the 41 mm version in the Eurozone on September 29 but not until October 10 in the UK. By contrast, Huawei will hold Watch GT 4 46 mm pre-orders back until October 5 in the Eurozone and October 16 in the UK. Please see Huawei's website for more details.
