Spigen has started selling a cut-price watch band for the Pixel Watch. Presumably, the Spigen Lite Fit will also be compatible with the forthcoming Pixel Watch 2 as well, the design of which Google has already revealed in a short teaser video. According to Spigen, its Lite Fit accessory combines a nylon fabric strap with a zinc alloy buckle and a stainless steel connector.
Supposedly, Spigen included the latter to allow the Lite Fit to 'blend in seamlessly with the Google Pixel Watch's casing'. Thus, we would expect Spigen to release Lite Fit with gold and silver connectors at some stage too. For reference, Spigen has designed the watch band to fit wrists that are between 120 mm and 215 mm in circumference. Additionally, the Lite Band weighs 14 g, which brings the Pixel Watch's total weight to 50 g.
Typically, first-party Pixel Watch straps sell for nearly US$50, such as Google's Active Bands. By contrast, Spigen offered the Lite Fit on Amazon for US$14.99. Unfortunately, this appears to have been a short-lived offer, with Amazon US listing the accessory as being out of stock at the time of writing. For now, Spigen is only selling the Lite Fit on its website for US$24.99; it remains to be seen what price Spigen will charge going forward, though. Please see Spigen's website for more information.
