It appears that Google has returned to releasing tidbits about upcoming devices to build anticipation before their releases. Arguably, Google has remained quiet about this year's releases until now. There is nothing to say that this month's leaked promotional video of the Pixel 8 Pro was not intentional though, given that it remains viewable through its original source.
At any rate, Google uploaded an image of the Pixel 8 Pro on its web store, which it has since removed. Mishaal Rahman theorises that the similarities between the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro could have resulted in a Googler choosing the wrong image. However, the alt text description suggests otherwise. As Rahman discussed on Twitter, Google included the alt text 'a person takes a call on a Pixel 8 Pro phone in Porcelain', emphasising that we are looking at the Pixel 8 Pro and not its predecessor.
Moreover, others believe that Google also included a look at the Pixel Watch 2. Unfortunately, the angle makes it improbable to determine whether this is the current model or the Pixel Watch 2. With that said, Google does not currently sell an Active Band in the colour shown in this marketing image, presumably which it will sell as Porcelain to match the Pixel 8 Pro. Google is expected to announce a second-generation Pixel Watch alongside the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro too. Thus, it should follow that Google includes the Pixel Watch 2 in Pixel 8 Pro promotional materials.
