Honor has showcased a few devices at IFA 2023, such as the Magic V2. While the company intends to sell most soon globally, it has also revealed a concept device that it may never bring to market. Currently, the company refers to the device as the Honor V Purse, allegedly because it can 'mimic a handbag design'. Arguably, the apparent wraparound design of the Honor V Purse makes it look more like a Huawei Mate Xs or Mate Xs 2 than a conventional handbag.
For some reason, Honor has only shown one side of the V Purse so far, in which a small portion of its foldable display is visible. Additionally, the Honor V Purse appears to have fewer cameras than the Mate Xs or Mate Xs 2, with just two spanning its slim metal frame. Honor has maintained the hardware button release of Huawei's equivalents too, which Honor has given a tactile finish.
The Honor V Purse is said to be considerably thinner than the Mate Xs or Mate Xs 2, though. According to Honor, the V Purse is less than 9 mm thick when folded, compared to the 11.1 mm chassis of the Mate Xs and Mate Xs 2. Thus, the Honor V Purse should be roughly 20% thinner than Huawei's efforts and 10.1% thinner than the Magic V2. Unfortunately, Honor has shared no hardware details yet, nor whether it intends to release the V Purse in any capacity.
