Google has just released the latest feature drop, which will be distributed to Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3 users in the coming days. The update improves pedometer accuracy, especially when users are not only walking but also pushing a wheelchair, baby carriage or shopping cart, or hiking with walking sticks. The aim here is to count steps more accurately in regard to the daily target and the calories burned.
The Google Pixel Watch 3 receives menstrual cycle tracking directly in the Fitbit app, allowing users to both record and keep an eye on their periods directly on the smartwatch. The app is also said to be able to predict the next period. The automatic bedtime mode, which has been available on the Pixel Watch 3 since its launch, is also coming to the Pixel Watch 2 via the feature drop, allowing the smartwatch to automatically recognize when the user falls asleep in order to deactivate notifications and turn off the display.
This is not only intended to reduce power consumption overnight but also reduce distractions. Lastly, Google is introducing a new audio control feature that allows users to remotely control content played on their smartphone, not only pausing playback, but also fast-forwarding and rewinding and adjusting the playback speed. As usual, it may take a few days before the update is available for download for all Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch 3 users.
