The next entry in the Pixel A series should be with us by the end of the month. Based on recent leaks and rumours, Google is planning to replace the Pixel 8a (curr. $299.89 - refurbished on Amazon) around March 17 or March 19. Either way, the Pixel 9a should become official next week, or about five months before Google unveils its Pixel 10 flagships.
According to various reports, the Pixel 9a will cost about as much as its predecessor in most markets. Thus, the device should start at $499 with 128 GB of storage, or £499 in the UK, €549 in the Eurozone and CA$679 in Canada. By contrast, this year's 256 GB variant will increase to $599, £599, €649 and CA$809, respectively.
Perhaps in light of this, Roland Quandt reports that Google plans to give away a free TV Streamer with Pixel 9a orders. Presumably, this is the existing Google TV Streamer (4K) that retails for $99.99, and not a new lesser variant.
According to the leaker, the bonus will be available for those who order a Pixel 9a via certain Google partners in Europe. While we suspect this would apply to major third-party retailers, it is unclear whether Google will run a similar offer in other markets like North America and the UK.
Google Pixel 9a buyers will get a Google TV Streamer as a bonus in certain markets (Euroland) when aquiring the device thru certain Google partners.
