Google is widely expected to replace the Pixel 8a (curr. $299.99 - refurbished on Amazon) in under a week's time. Officially, the company has not revealed anything yet about introducing a new Pixel A series smartphone. Nonetheless, an increasing amount of evidence has emerged online showcasing the Pixel 9a and its capabilities.
For example, Evan Blass has published a slew of Pixel 9a-related promotional images, a few of which we have embedded below. Based on their content and size, it would seem that Blass has obtained them from a retail listing. For instance, some of these images show Google's AI features, including its Gemini digital assistant. Meanwhile, a separate image highlights the Pixel 9a as part of the wider Pixel 9 family.
YouTuber Alexis Garcia has now published a hands-on video in which a retail Pixel 9a unit is revealed at the beginning. Not only that, but the same YouTube has highlighted camera samples taken with their Pixel 9a, which can be seen throughout the video embedded below. Please note that YouTube compression and probable pre-release firmware means that one cannot judge the quality of the photos and videos shown. Currently, Google is expected to launch the Pixel 9a on March 17 globally with a $499 starting price.
