Garmin pushes new beta update to Fenix 7, Epix 2, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and Marq Gen 2 smartwatches with bug fixes and improvements

Garmin has started a new wave of beta updates less than two weeks after it finalised stable updates for its current smartwatches. As has often been the case, the company has served the Fenix 7 series first, which now consists of the Fenix 7, Fenix 7 Pro, Fenix 7x, Fenix 7x Pro, Fenix 7s and Fenix 7s Pro. Additionally,  the same beta build is available for the Epix 2 series, the Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and the Marq Gen 2.

According to Garmin, its new beta build focuses on addressing bugs that existed in Beta Version 14.36. Specifically, Beta Version 14.66 fixes an issue that caused Body Battery to be written incorrectly to some activities. Additionally, Garmin claims to have resolved a conflict associated with a potential shutdown in plan overview for a primary race. Moreover, Beta Version 14.66 fixes unspecified translation issues and improves the built-in music player. 

Please note that Garmin is still withholding beta builds from the Marq Aviator Gen2 and Tactix 7. However, the pair remain eligible for stable updates whenever they roll out. Also, it is only possible to download Beta Version 14.66 manually; Garmin will not issue the automatically through any of its software distribution channels. As such, you must tap 'Check for Updates' within Menu/System/Software Update on an eligible smartwatch to trigger the download of Beta Version 14.66.
