Dimensity 9300 launch date confirmed by MediaTek
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 made quite a splash by outperforming the Exynos 2400 in Geekbench. It even delivered Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 levels of performance, something that hasn't been seen in a long time. Those anticipating the SoC's launch will be pleased to know that MediaTek has officially zeroed in on a launch date.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 will be unveiled on November 6 2023, at 19:00 local time (China). It comes two weeks after its main competitor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, gets unveiled. Initial rumours pegged it for an October launch, which may have been pushed back due to alleged thermal issues stemming from its unique CPU architecture.
Recent Geekbench listings have confirmed that the Dimensity 9300 will pack eight performance cores (Cortex-X4 and Cortex-A720) in a 1+3+4 configuration. The SoC will also feature blazing-fast LPDDR5T memory from SK Hynix and an Arm Immortalis-G720 MP12 GPU, which is said to be more power-efficient than its predecessor. Other features include on-device generative AI functionality. It will likely power high-end smartphones such as the Oppo Find X7 and Vivo X100.
