Capcom has now published Resident Evil Village for iOS and iPadOS devices. Available for the next three weeks at a 60% discount, the port utilises MetalFX upscaling to maximise image quality and can be played on an external display with the iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Capcom has now released Resident Evil Village on the Apple App Store, which is available for some iOS and iPadOS devices. Specifically, the game requires an iPhone with the 'A17 Pro chip or later', a requirement that limits its distribution to just the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max for now. By contrast, Resident Evil Village is playable on iPads with Apple M1 or Apple M2 chipsets, including the iPad Air 5.

At launch, Capcom has discounted the game by 60%. Thus, it is currently possible to pick up Resident Evil Village for US$15.99 in the US and €15.99 in the Eurozone instead of US$39.99 and €39.99, respectively. Additionally, Capcom has reduced its DLC pack to US$9.99/€9.99 and its All Access Voucher to US$1.99/€1.99.

Moreover, the same discount applies to the game's Mac version. Please note that all discounts end on November 20. Also, although Resident Evil Village has been customised to support touch controls, Capcom recommends using a controller. Separately, Capcom has integrated MetalFX upscaling, Apple's equivalent to AMD FSR and NVIDIA DLSS.

As a result, Resident Evil Village can render at a lower resolution and upscale to the iPhone's display resolution to maximise performance. Still, the iPhone 15 Pro cannot always play Resident Evil Village smoothly with MetalFX activated, which may explain Capcom's decision to include various graphics settings for adjusting lighting, effects and quality settings.
