Motorola Moto G24 benchmark leak details specifications and Android 14 usage
The first sighting of a Moto G23 successor has appeared online, courtesy of Geekbench. As the screenshot below shows, Motorola has equipped the Moto G24 with 8 GB of RAM, which is not always a given for mid-range handsets. It is worth noting that Motorola also sells the Moto G23 with 8 GB of RAM, although the handset comes with half as much RAM by default.
Additionally, Motorola is developing the Moto G24 around Android 14; the Moto G23 debuted in January with Android 13. Based on the information contained within the Geekbench listing, the Moto G24 could feature the same chipset as its predecessor too. Specifically, Geekbench lists the SoC as 'ARM implementer 65 architecture 8 variant 3 part 3338 revision 1' with six CPU cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and another two that can reach 2.0 GHz.
In other words, it seems that the Moto G24 utilises the MediaTek Helio G85, which Motorola also uses in the Moto G13. Currently, it remains to be seen when Motorola will showcase the Moto G24. Likewise, it is unknown whether the handset will contain hardware upgrades in other areas, such as new cameras, an improved battery capacity or a move away from the 90 Hz and 720p IPS panel in the current Moto G23.
