Samsung outlines One UI 6 eligibility for 25 devices including Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 models
Samsung has now officially started its stable One UI 6 rollout after two months of issuing public beta builds. As we discussed yesterday, Samsung has brought One UI 6 to the Galaxy S23 series first, excluding the new Galaxy S23 FE. However, the company has limited the rollout to a few European countries so far, including the UK.
As always, Samsung has not published a full release schedule. Instead, it has decided to confirm some of the devices that are eligible for One UI 6 in the footnotes of a press release about the update's new AI camera features. According to this footnote, the following Galaxy S models will receive One UI 6:
- Galaxy S20
- Galaxy S20 Plus
- Galaxy S20 Ultra
- Galaxy S21
- Galaxy S21 Plus
- Galaxy S21 Ultra
- Galaxy S22
- Galaxy S22 Plus
- Galaxy S22 Ultra
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23 Plus
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
Additionally, it appears that Samsung will update all Galaxy Z foldables, including the original Galaxy Z Flip. Also, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy A53, Galaxy A54 and Galaxy Note 20 series will move from One UI 5 to One UI 6 builds. Thus, it appears that Samsung's retrospective commitment to delivering 4 OS updates for flagships extends to those it released in 2020. The full list of other eligible devices that Samsung detailed in its press release are as follows:
- Galaxy A53
- Galaxy A54
- Galaxy Note 20
- Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Flip
- Galaxy Z Flip 5G
