The Galaxy S23 FE has now arrived globally, one of four Fan Edition products that Samsung has presented today. For reference, the others are the Galaxy Buds FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus, all covered separately. As expected, the Galaxy S23 FE serves as a combination of various other Galaxy S parts, including the maligned Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets.
For reference, Samsung has returned to offering an Exynos chipset for European models and a Snapdragon chipset for other markets like North America. Seemingly, all Galaxy S23 FE share other hardware though, such as a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 25 W wired charging and a 50 MP primary camera. Additionally, the Galaxy S23 FE has a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, plus 8 MP telephoto (3x optical) and 10 MP front-facing optics.

Moreover, Samsung has installed an AMOLED display that measures 6.4-inches across and operates natively at 1080p with a 120 Hz peak refresh rate. Unsurprisingly, the handset lacks an LTPO backplane, restricting its refresh rate to 60 Hz or 120 Hz. Elsewhere, Samsung adds that the Galaxy S23 FE is IP68 certified and will ship with Android 13, likely its last flagship to do so.
Thankfully, Samsung has maintained its commitment to delivering four OS updates and five years of security updates. The Galaxy S23 FE starts at US$599 in the US with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, thereby undercutting the Galaxy S23 by US$200. Alternatively, Samsung has priced the former at US$659 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, maintaining the US$200 gap between the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy S23.
