Xiaomi begins stable Android 14 global rollout with Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro

Xiaomi has announced that it is pushing stable versions of Android 14 to three of its recent smartphones, roughly three months after the company opened its MIUI beta program based on the new OS update. For reference, Xiaomi is one of the first Android OEMs to offer stable Android 14 builds, with Google having finalised equivalent updates for its Pixel devices from the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 onwards. Unfortunately, it appears that Xiaomi's rollout is not necessarily a straightforward one.

According to the company's posts online, only the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Xiaomi 12T are eligible for Android 14 so far. For some reason, it has not commented on Android 14 availability for other models so far, such as the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 12T Pro or the new Xiaomi 13T series. Also, while Xiaomi has not acknowledged this on its Community website, all Android 14 builds underpin MIUI 14 and not MIUI 15.

Additionally, beta testers will receive Android 14 updates first. As far as we can tell, it should still be possible to enrol your Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 13 or Xiaomi 13 Pro on Xiaomi's beta program, should you wish to attempt to obtain Android 14 a bit earlier. Xiaomi has not provided a changelog for any of these new builds, either. Instead, you can find more details about the company's inaugural stable Android 14 updates on its Community post.
